Transportation in hot weather

Important Information About Transporting Your Cake in Hot Weather ☀️

When collecting your cake by car, please transport the cake flat in either the footwell or the boot of your vehicle. Do not place the cake on a seat or on a lap, and please drive carefully to avoid sudden movement.

During warm weather, please use air conditioning if available. It is best to turn it on before you arrive for collection so that your car is as cool as possible. Buttercream cakes are delicate and do not cope well with heat or excessive movement.

Once you arrive home, please place your cake in the fridge as soon as possible. All cakes are supplied chilled so they are firm for transportation. However, buttercream will soften in a warm car, and depending on the length of the journey the cake layers may move if the cake is not re-chilled promptly.

Once cakes have left our care, they become the full responsibility of the customer.
